WHAT TO SEE IN THE SURROUNDINGS:

The self contained apartment is realized next the medieval church and was the house of the priest. It dominate the elsa valley. It is possible to see the castle of Santa Maria Novella and the medieval village of Lucardo and also Barberino val d'Elsa. The apartment is near Certaldo (less than 5 minutes by car) and less than 10 minutes from Poggibonsi so even if in the countryside you are still near all the facilities needed for the best holiday. In five minutes you are in San Gimignano and in half hour in Siena or in Florence. Very near San Vivaldo and its faboulous terrecotte and to Volterra. The excursions and day trip does not ends here since you can reach Empoli in 20 minutes and from there the way to Pisa and Lucca and the Cinque Terre as you can better realize looking at the map of tuscany. For not to mention the southern part of siena, if you love the wine and want to compare the taste of the vernaccia of san gimignano with the chianti and going for the brunello di montalcino and, while you are there also visiting pienza, montepulciano and sant'antimo. You could also enjoy the terme of bagno Vignoni or the many other places from petriolo to rapolano terme.
